MANLY ANTIQUE CENTRE
We purchased these chairs with 6 others and have to admit it was quite a while
before we realised these two were SLIGHTLY different from the other 6.
Together they make a very respectable set of 8 chairs that no one is going
to see as anything but a set of 8 matching chairs but we are separating
this pair from the rest as not everyone wants 8 chairs anyway.
They are beautifully carved and slightly more detailed than the others.
In a pinkish velvet upholstery that is 'tired' but not damaged.
No damage as such, just general wear and tear marks etc but overall
condition is very good.
They are mahogany so they are heavy and sturdy in comparison to the
Australian cedar versions that have to be treated a bit more carefully.
We have them set up in the Centre with the other 6 chairs and our fabulous
1860s farmhouse cedar table (see separate listing for details).
A lovely pair of Victorian balloon-back chairs c. 1870.
