Austrian is how it was sold to last owners.
It dates to the mid 19th century and
is constructed from walnut and decorated
with stunning burr walnut panels.
The drawer linings are oak.
The carved details are amazing.
Grinling Gibbons would be happy with
the fabulous carved 3D fruit clusters
on either side of the dramatic almost
heraldic cartouche at the top.
The stunning carving continues on
the supports for the two shelves
on the backboard.
There is also a more modest version
of the carved fruit detail on either
side of the lower cupboard doors.
It is excellent antique condition.

here and there as you would expect
from a genuine antique piece.
It is a very tall piece and will require
a room with reasonably high ceilings to
It measures 150 cm wide, 70cm deep
and 230cm high.
