MANLY ANTIQUE CENTRE

1930s PYRAMID SHAPED
PLA-PAL JUNIOR RADIO

Part of a huge collection of early to mid 20th century radios and radiolas
we have recently purchased.

Condition is very good overall but each radio will have the odd furphy at
least so see complete description below and check out the photos.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

1930s Pla-Pal Junior timber cased valve radio.
Fabulous timber case in the shape of a flat top pyramid.
Even the lettering and numbers around the control knobs
have the look of Egyptian Hieroglyphics to them.

It was made for the American market hence has a plug for 110 volts.
NOT COMPATABLE WITH OUR 220 VOLT SYSTEM WITHOUT A TRANSFORMER
(which you can buy from J Cars for about $40.00).

CONDITION:

Tested and working

Case is in quite good vintage condition with a few bumps and
scrapes here and there but nothing terrible.

The fabric speaker facing has a little discolouration down the left side.

The tuning knobs are bakelite framed by brass cartouches -
one for the Volume and the other is for the station selection.
This is where the 'Egyptian Hieroglyphics' are used for the numbers etc.

MEASUREMENTS
