MANLY ANTIQUE CENTRE

PAIR OF FRENCH LOUIS ROCOCO
GILT METAL CANDELABRA

A stunning pair of 19th century French Rococo style gilt metal candelabra.
They are three branch jobs with a central candlestick so they take
four candles (each).

Their style is referred to as French Rococo or Louis XVI but date to the late 19th century.
They have a distinctive Art Nouveau feel to them as well with their sinuous, almost
organic twisting candle arms so would fit into a number of period decores.

The gold gilding has faded with time and handling to create this lovely shabby chic patina
which fits in with the uber fashionable Paris Apartment Style which should always
have a statement piece of faded gilt somewhere.

They are heavy weighing just over 4 kilos each (9 pounds exactly) which
is what you would expect from antique candelabra of this quality and age.

We also have a French gilt metal mantle clock that they make a fabulous 'garniture' for.
The clock is a separate listing but I have included a photo to show how great they look together.

These stunners will add a bit of French chic to any modern or traditional interior.
