MANLY ANTIQUE CENTRE

RARE 1960s BEEFEATER GIN
ICE BUCKET af

DESCRIPTION

A large and rare Beefeater Gin Ice Bucket.
It is made of thick molded plastic but
looks more like china from a distance as it
is so glossy and nicely detailed.

There are a couple of condition issues.
The white paint is peeling off from a
section of his gorgeous ruffled collar and there
is a square hole at the back at the collar level
as well, which actually looks to be have been
purposely cut in but why they would do this
I couldn't say.
There is a crack extending from this
hole as well that is about 1-2 inches long
I suppose and the paint is cracking a little
underneath his chin as well.
There are some good closeup photos of all
this so you can see quite clearly what I
am describing.
There is also a small section of the underside
edge that keeps the lid in place missing that I
didn't photograph as I have only just
seen it but its nothing too serious.

It retains its original glass liner as shown.
The foam that lines the body that the glass liner
nestles into is still there but is has perished
over the last 50 odd years and is crumbling away.

It is quite an impressive piece of bar ware measuring
28cm high and 18cm wide.
Overall he is a beauty and a rare survivor.
SORRY, I'VE SOLD!
