MANLY ANTIQUE CENTRE

AUSTRALIAN
COLONIAL CEDAR
BREAKFAST TABLE C.1850

SORRY, I'VE SOLD!

A classic round breakfast table dating to around 1850.
Being a breakfast table it tilts into an upright position
for storing in the corner of a room when not in use
which makes it great for modern apartment living.
The tri-footed base is exquisitely carved and a good
example of its type, especially for an early piece.
In fact it is so good we looked for a makers mark but
unfortuately didn't find one - but Lenehan stuck labels
on his furniture (see listing of Lenehan chairs now sold)
so it is quite possibly one of his and the label is long gone.
The previous owners purchased this table from Tudor Rose
Antiques in 1998 for $4200.00 (invoice available)
so at this price it makes it a good investment for
someone interested in early Australian antique furniture.
The table measures 1380mm in diameter and the top is made
from just two large pieces of cedar with fabulous grain and an
unreproducable patina that only comes with time and love.
