VICTORIAN STOURBRIDGE
JACK IN THE PULPIT
VASELINE GLASS VASE

These Victorian glass vases are known as called Jack-in-the-Pulpit vases.
A recognizable shape world wide this one was possibly produced in
Stourbridge and looks like a Steven & Williams example but might not be.

It has a green Vaseline glass body with oxblood red border to the
magnificent frilled and dimpled edge.
We call this glass Vaseline glass which I think is the term
Americans use for what we call Uranium glass.
Wow that's confusing!
But this is NOT uranium glass but perhaps Opalescent glass
is a more accurate description.
I have pictured it next to a small perfume bottle which IS
Uranium glass (see separate listing).

It is in excellent condition and stands 14cn high and 11cm wide.

SORRY, I'VE SOLD!
