STUNNING EDWARDIAN
15CT GOLD NECKLACE
SET WITH 'PINK STONES'

This fabulous antique necklace dates to the Edwardian period
and is Art Nouveau in style.
The gold is stamped 15C on the back.
The mark is a little rubbed and way too small for my camera
to take a photo of it but it is definitely there.

The pink stones have not been tested by a gemologist
but look to be either pink tourmalines or almadine garnets.
They certainly have the brilliance of an almadine garnet but
none of the inclusions you would associate with pink tourmalines.
But as they have not officially been tested we are just listing
them as 'pink PASTE stones' (and priced accordingly).
It is also set with 17 tiny seed pearls all in good condition.

It's not the longest necklace in the world.
It will fit someone with a slender neck but not a fat old bird like me unfortunately.
Stretched out it measures 15 inches or 38cm long.
The chain on it is very fine and so if a few more links had to be added I'm
sure it wouldn't be too expensive to have done.
It would be stunning for a bride-to-be or debutant.
